Saddle

A macOS menu bar app for external drives. One icon, real-time mount status, click to mount or unmount, plus drive groups, batch actions, and drives that stay unmounted when you said so, even when macOS thinks otherwise.

Download the .dmg (opens in new tab)

Signed and notarized, for macOS 13.5 (Ventura) or later. Or via Homebrew:

brew tap smandable/tap && brew install --cask saddle
The Saddle menu in the menu bar, listing seven external drives, Mount All, Unmount All, and Excluded Drives.
One click in the menu mounts or unmounts a drive, or every drive at once.
Saddle’s Drives settings, listing eight external drives, with aliases on four of them and one drive excluded.
In Settings, give each drive an alias, or exclude it so Saddle leaves it alone.
Saddle’s Groups settings, with the Work Stuff group set to mount at launch and three drives in it.
In Settings, put drives in a group and choose what the group does at launch.
